Angie has been in the financial services industry for 35+ years and has seen a lot of change but her enthusiasm for helping clients and families during those times has never waned. She is a Senior Managing Partner at Carnegie Private Wealth where she is so proud of the practice that the team is building to continue to serve families in the everchanging financial landscape.

Angie has worked with clients and families for a long time and takes great pride in helping them develop plans and pursue their long-term goals. Her main goal is to take the stress out of financial planning and make people comfortable and confident in their decisions no matter how involved they may be. When clients say, “ I feel so much better after meeting with you” is her #1 goal. Angie grew up playing team sports and continues to want to be a key teammate of her clients and their life decisions no matter how big or small.

Angie started her career in 1989 at Wachovia Bank after attending UNC Chapel Hill and receiving a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. Wachovia was a wonderful company that emphasized the importance of client service above all else and that is engrained in Angie to this day. Angie always felt that planning was the most important aspect for clients and their finances and obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® designation in 1998. If you don’t have a plan and you haven’t checked off all the risks that you could face financially then you must rely on luck and that is not a plan!

Angie has 3 beautiful children that are now grown and still misses coaching her girls in any sport they wanted to play. They have 2 Australian Shepherds named, Mia and Ruffin that also keep her busy. She enjoys playing golf with friends at Carmel Country Club and hopes that she can be walking the course well into her 70s and 80s like so many great women at the club. She and her husband, Jay, are avid sports fans and have tickets to all the Charlotte teams as well as UNC football and basketball tickets. She can also be found enjoying time in Wilmington walking the beach and watching the sunset!
